Goodbye, Charlie
A downloadable game
You're trapped in a game within a game within... well you get it.
Escape the house by diving deeper and deeper into 4 video game genres!
Fair warning, this is a difficult puzzle game so I hope you're up for a challenge (though if you get stuck, there is a full walk-through here).
Each genre is intentionally limited so you will have to figure out how to best use each genre's unique and only abilities:
- First Person: Grab and move small items and light furniture
- RPG: Open/close objects and read journals
- Platformer: Jump high, collect keys and knock down hard to reach items
- Text Adventure: Activate machinery and unlock doors/containers
Can you find your way out and puzzle together what happened to Charlie and your family?

Controls
- First Person: WASD + Mouse. E to grab/release
- RPG: WASD + E to interact
- Platformer: A and D to move left/right. Space to jump
- Text Adventure: Keyboard only

Tips and Tricks
- Things you do in one game affect all the other games... For example, moving a chair in First Person can give you a floor to jump on in the Platformer!
- Whenever you get stuck, Charlie's journal in the RPG world will give you a hint on how to progress.
- If you truly get stuck, here is a list of every step to complete the game: https://pastebin.com/dJSDieUg.
*Note: Recent file release = game-breaking bug found and patched

I found a bug in which entering the attic and then exiting it softlocks me to the room blocked by the sofas.
EDIT: Also, when I re-opened the .exe file, the Window didn't go fullscreen. This is really minor compared to the other issue, but it was still annoying.
Hey I'm really sorry to hear that happened, that sounds frustrating. Once you get to the attic, the game is basically over, it's a You Win screen with your in-game time. You pretty much beat the game (besides a possible last section in the other levels if you didn't get to them yet) so good work. Thank you for playing!
Oh, I didn't read this! I was busy starting over and playing the game bug-free. I can't believe that this is only a demo!
Wow that's an impressive time! I'll be honest, very few people managed to reach the end, so that makes you one of the elite... Well done, and thanks again for playing!
